Household saving rate decreases to 14.2% in the euro area
The household saving rate in the euro area decreased to 14.2% in the second quarter of 2026 (compared with 14.4% in the first quarter of 2026), which is explained by consumption increasing at a faster rate than gross disposable income (respectively +1.3% and +1.1%).
